Over time the popularity of hand-woven brocades resulted in the award of Royal Warrants from Queen Victoria and other royal houses around Europe. With the patronage of these royal houses Atkinsons became famous for "Royal" Irish Poplin. Success was also enjoyed at trade events at home and abroad where medals for quality were awarded for our Irish Poplin.
